Sensing and Diagnostic Module (SDM) - An in-car surveillance system presently running inside many General Motors vehicles may be perceived as a significant erosion of personal privacy by critics and consumer advocates. If the data collected is indeed the property of the vehicle owner, then why would the presence of this device be a problem. Any technolgy is only as good as it's programming and how people choose to use that technology.
